She then headed west for advanced fellowship training in pediatric urology at the renowned University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital, honing her skills at one of the nation’s top children’s centers.
Today, she’s the sixth pediatric urology specialist at Pediatric Surgical Associates, Ltd., where she embraces the full spectrum of her field with particular passion for:
• Complex genitourinary reconstruction
• Differences in sex development
• Neurogenic bladder management

She’s also highly skilled in minimally invasive robotic surgery, allowing for precision with smaller incisions and faster recoveries for her young patients.
During her training, Dr. Willihnganz-Lawson dove deep into research on surgical outcomes for conditions like bladder exstrophy, vascular anomalies, and disorders of sex development. She also led quality improvement initiatives to standardize care and boost quality of life for kids facing urologic challenges.
What truly sets her apart is her family-centered approach—she partners closely with children and their families, making sure everyone feels heard, supported, and involved in every decision.
You can find her caring for patients at hospitals and clinics throughout the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding suburbs. Plus, she offers convenient telemedicine consultations, making top-tier pediatric urology accessible to families statewide—no matter where they call home.
