Pediatric Surgical Associates provides specialized medical care for children from birth through age 18. Our approach combines high-level technical expertise and the latest medical technology, with an emphasis on building empathetic relationships to help ease the fears of young patients and their families.
80 Years of History!
Founded in 1946 by Dr. Tague C. Chisholm and Dr. Oswald S. Wyatt, Pediatric Surgical Associates is the oldest continuously-operating private pediatric surgery practice in the United States. Our founders were among the first surgeons in the country to specialize in the surgical care of children and adolescents, leading the way in creating the pediatric surgery specialty that exists today. We later expanded our practice to include the specialty of Pediatric Urology.
Pediatric General Surgery
Beyond general surgery certification, these experts complete two additional years of exclusive pediatric training. They manage the full spectrum of pediatric surgical care—from diagnosis to post-operative recovery—for children and adolescents.

Pediatric Urology
These specialists focus on congenital or developmental conditions of the kidneys, bladder, and genitalia. Their extensive background includes five years of general urology training followed by two years of dedicated pediatric specialization.
